ATVs tour in Chinchero and Maras

By means of ATVs, travel through the cultivated fields of the Maras route. Venture into the Andean plateau which dates back before the period of the Incas. The archaeological center of Moray has ancient circular buildings and artisan works created from the extraction of salt.

You will be picked up in the morning in Cusco and transported  to the ATV operations center in the north of the city. A guide will provide you with an ATV and the necessary equipment. From here we will use ATVs to go to the Andean plateau of Chinchero and Maras.

By ATV, we will explore the surroundings of the Huaypo lagoon using local trails used by the farmers of this Andean plateau. We will explore the circular platforms of the Moray archaeological center, an ancient agricultural experimentation center that the Incas used for the improvement and adaptation of new seeds grown in higher altitudes.

After this visit to the Huaypo lagoon, using the ATVs, we will continue through local trails that exist in this agricultural plain until we reach the salt mines of Maras noon. The salt mines are located near the Sacred Valley. The Sacred Valley has more than 3,200 salt pools. The salt mines continue to be used for the artisanal extraction of salt. After visiting the salt mines we will return to the city of Cusco.
